SafetyTech Sliding Shoe Outrigger Pads Designed for Mini Cranes & Compact Track Lifts

September 13, 2017 (Guthrie Center, Iowa) DICA will debut a new style of SafetyTech Outrigger Pads for the tree care industry at the TCI Expo, Nov. 2-4, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. SafetyTech Sliding Shoe Outrigger Pads are designed for equipment with multi-position, self-leveling outriggers, as found on mini cranes and compact track lifts.

Outriggers on mini cranes and compact track lifts fold out and engage the ground at an angle. They also can be positioned individually and in varying positions, making proper outrigger pad placement difficult.

Sliding Shoe Outrigger Pads fit onto the outrigger feet and lock in place, so that the outrigger pads are exactly where you need them when the outrigger foot engages with the ground. Sliding Shoe Outrigger Pads allow outrigger feet to slide securely within the pad as each outrigger engages. This means less re-positioning for operators as the lift or crane is setup, improving safety and efficiency. In addition, stop blocks on the sides and ends of the outrigger pad securely hold the Sliding Shoe on the foot when driving the personnel lift or crane into position.

"Tree care industry professionals are looking for an outrigger pad that is simple to use," said Kerry Koberg, Strategic Accounts Manager. "In tree care applications it's often necessary to take advantage of multiple outrigger positions to setup mini cranes and compact track lifts on inclines or against obstructions. The ability to self-deploy makes Sliding Shoe Outrigger Pads an efficient solution for equipment setup, which will minimize crew fatigue," he said.

Custom sizes of SafetyTech Sliding Shoe Outrigger Pads are available for specific foot specifications found on many different brands of mini cranes and compact track lifts. Standard models provide a working load limit of at least 18,000 lbs.

Visit DICA at Booth 1713 at the Tree Care Industry Expo. Also see Sliding Shoe Outrigger Pads displayed with All Access Equipment compact track lifts at Booth 1332.

It was two days of excitement as Morbark, LLC, welcomed about 250 customers, members of its authorized dealer network, and other guests from 15 countries for its 11th Demo Days event on September 28-29. This year Morbark celebrates its 60th anniversary and highlighted that history throughout the event. Morbark has a world-class dealer network, and the company's Demo Days give their customers, as well as the other attendees, the opportunity to not only watch the equipment in action, but also meet the people who build and support the equipment as they see firsthand the manufacturing processes utilized. Events included factory tours, networking opportunities, vendor booths, and a chance to see the equipment up close.

Thursday saw attendees learning about Tier 4 Final engines, financing, Morbark factory training, as well as the advantages of using Morbark parts, and much more! Demo Days participants also had the opportunity to learn about Association of Equipment Manufacturers' "I Make America" program. Bandit Industries announces Model ZT1844 compact track stump grinder

ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich: Bandit Industries' new Model ZT1844 stump grinder is the most productive compact, track mounted stump grinder on the market. It features all the power and performance of every Bandit stump grinder, but with features that make it an ideal machine for rental companies or dedicated stump grinding professionals.

"The ZT1844 is designed from the ground up to outperform all other stump grinders in its class," said Bandit Sales Manager Jason Morey. "The wider swing arc covers more area when grinding at the stump. The taller grinding height and deeper grinding depth means you can tackle larger stumps and chase the roots deeper into the ground. And intuitive controls make grinding stumps easy, no matter if you're a seasoned professional or a rental customer."

The Model ZT1844 is equipped with an 18" diameter Bandit cutterwheel featuring Green Teeth. Electronic engagement means it's as simple as flipping a switch to engage the cutterwheel. And the rubber track undercarriage means this machine can travel through uneven and rough terrain while still taking it easy on delicate lawns.

"We have two engine options available on the ZT1844," Morey said. "Customers can get a standard 26 horsepower Kohler gasoline engine, or opt for a 38 horsepower Kohler engine. Both engines feature electronic fuel injection, so these units are easy to start, even on cold morning."
